For over 40 years, we have loved the people of our growing church and also our community. We exist to make a difference in people’s lives, not only during our service times, but with our many community outreaches. Our doors and hearts are open to everyone. Led by executive Pastor, Steve Smothermon, we want to be bigger than ourselves. We want to change the world through the love of God.

God has commissioned us to plant deep roots so we can love the unchurched in the community of Portales and Eastern New Mexico University.
FCFC Portales is more than just a campus. It will be a full-fledged church called to do the work of the ministry, commissioned by God, with live worship and in-person preaching. We will be serving the Portales community just like FCFC Clovis has since 1980 by giving coats, backpacks, shoes, haircuts, oil changes for senior citizens, and supporting local community initiatives. Why does Portales need another church? Because every weekend there are 12,000 people who don’t go to church anywhere. We believe God has called us to make a significant dent in that number.
